In my sessions, I work to provide a welcoming, non-judgmental, and confidential environment to facilitate exploration and processing. I like to use an integrated approach, which allows us to collaborate on what you would like to gain from therapy, what would be most helpful for you, and what approach will suit your needs best. Counselling can be an experience of learning strategies to manage stress, better understand our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, and working to mitigate negative symptoms while promoting overall well-being.

In my approach, I use a client-centred framework to utilize other therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based practices. My experiences have taught me that it can be easy to fall into vicious cycles that keep us stuck while our lives continue to move forward. Working to better understand and identify our thoughts, emotions, and behaviours can help break these cycles. Allowing you to utilize your strengths, set goals, and build resiliency to continue moving forward.
